I had a nice week this week. Permanent staff at Coles don't have to work on Melbourne cup day so I had Wednesday off work which gave me the chance to catch up on some things I hadn't done for a while. I started to scan the video of the trip we did across Australia earlier this year from the video camera to the computer. I have nearly 4 hours of video so sampling it was time consuming and now I still have to sort it out into categories so that is easier to edit into a finished video. There is a lot of work ahead on that but I'm happy that I have finally made a start. I also took the opportunity to catch up on some e-mails and letters to friends and found some time to chat with some of my friends abroad. I recently got back in touch with April from the US which is nice. April and I haven't spoken in a long time. Most of you know about my friend Rachael of heaven knows how many years, we have also been chatting a lot on the net now that she is living with her parents in QLD. Rach send my a hand made card which is really nice.
My cuz Kelly and some of her friends where visiting from New Zealand this weekend. They dropped in for lunch yesterday (Saturday) afternoon and as always it was nice to see her again and meet her new partner. I had seen some of them at her 21st last year but that was at night and who remembers anybody after a 21st anyway, or maybe its not the actual 21st but the alcohol consumed.. I don't know, I'll leave the decision about that one up to you.
Now I head into a new week, who knows what I'll have to tell you this time next week.
