I seem to be making a habit of not updating my personal journal blog very often but I have come to the decision that the less time I spend updating my personal home page the more it looks like I have other things to do. Nah not really. But I have been very busy since my entry in march 2005.

Back in March last year I was a little shy about admitting something. I was not sure how to express it. I can now state for the record that I am totally, completely, undeniably in love with Marissa and proud of it! Yes falling for her was the biggest thing I ever done and something I never thought I would do. Ok, I have sort of fallen for girls before, but not like this, no way, not to the point where I see her as my existence and my partner for life with no doubt in the world.

A lot of what I have been doing during 2006 is sorting out things for our wedding. I know some times it is hard when somebody has only one topic on their mind. My family have all been helpful and supportive of my relationship with Marissa but I'm sure I drive them up the wall with all the wedding talk.

My cousin Jodi was married on Saturday. My younger cousin beat me to the alter by a few months but I am happy for her that she has found a partner who shares her love and passion for following her faith in god. That is something I never really understood about her when we where kids but I always accepted her values and we always got along really well when we where growing up and I was proud to see her launch into the next stage of her life as a wife in front of people from her past and present. I had the chance to touch base with my cousin Kate at the wedding who I had not seen since our grandfather's funeral 5 years ago. Actually, We have never really connected in our adult lives and I only have a few memories of times when we where kids so I didn't know what to expect. There are not really many other big events in my life lately seeing as my relationship with Marissa seems to dominate my entire existence. I have done some travelling to the Philippines two times in the last 12 months and will return there in April for the wedding. I am excited about getting married to Marissa but I am also in the frame of mind that I want to get it over and done with and move on with life. All the things we have had to do in preparation for the wedding is very stressing and it is only for one day, not even a day, only a few hours of a day, and I am anxious for Marissa and I to get on with the rest of our life together beyond this one day. I have done my best to make this wedding the day Marissa wants it to be but we have run into a lot of budget problems mainly because of all the travel required but we will get there and have a good day on the 22nd of April 2006.

Well that is all I have time for right now. I was off work sick all last week, still feeling a bit off but if I get some rest I should be ok for work now.
